Kevin Costner leaves ‘Yellowstone’ fans distraught with latest announcement 2

When Kevin Costner announced earlier this month that he would be leaving the Yellowstone franchise, he sparked a significant amount of uproar, and it appears that fans are still not very forgiving of his decision. The consequences from the actor’s departure from the popular series produced by Paramount could very well wind up having an effect on his new project, Horizon, which is itself an epic Western movie series. As Kevin Costner celebrated his new project with a post on Instagram, the comments section was flooded with admirers who were upset about the way his Yellowstone voyage had come to an end and the fact that Costner is now eager to promote his own movie that is in the same genre.

It appears that Kevin Costner made the decision to hang up his Yellowstone stetson for a variety of reasons. Despite the fact that the franchise is continuing in other ways, there are a great number of fans who are now abandoning the actor’s new project in the same manner that they feel he abandoned them. A picture of a director’s chair with the word “horizon” scrawled across it was among the images that Costner posted. In reference to the picture, he stated:

There are over a thousand comments that have been made on the post, and it doesn’t take long to find that while there are some people who are excited to see Costner’s new movie venture, which will be truly epic in scope and put even his movie from the 1990s, Dances With Wolves, in the shade, there are many people who simply want him to finish the Yellowstone story in the right way. Among the comments that were left in reaction to the post were the following:

In February, the first speculations that Kevin Costner would be leaving the Yellowstone franchise began to spread. These rumors were about him leaving the franchise. In the months that followed, rumors began to circulate about a disagreement between the award-winning actor and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, a breakup in Kevin Costner’s marriage, and the possibility of Matthew McConaughey joining the franchise to take over as the lead actor. All of these rumors continued to grow until everything was confirmed at the beginning of May.

With the celebrity having clearly established his new objectives with his own movie, it is now unknown whether or not Costner will continue to work on Yellowstone until the conclusion of the fifth season. However, he will remain on the show until the end of the season. Additionally, Kevin Costner is continuing his work in the Western genre by hosting and narrating Kevin Costner’s The West for The History Channel. This is in addition to his work on Horizon. On the other hand, none of this appears to be a consolation for Yellowstone fans, who obviously have a long way to go before they are completely on board with the actor’s new endeavors.
