Cole Brings Plenty, a 27-year-old Yellowstone actor, was discovered dead in the woods following a domestic disturbance.

An actor who participated in a spinoff of the popular television western Yellowstone was found dead after going missing during a domestic violence investigation in Kansas, authorities said.

According to a statement from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, deputies discovered the corpse of Cole Brings Plenty, 27, in a forested area.

Crime scene detectives and a medical examiner were present, but no cause of death information was disclosed.

Brings Plenty had been accused with aggravated burglary, domestic violence, and criminal restraint in a nearby county just two days prior. An arrest warrant was issued.

Lawrence police said they attended to an apartment on Sunday where a woman was crying for help, but Brings Plenty had already departed when they arrived.

He subsequently missed an audition for a new film project scheduled for Monday morning via Zoom, according to his agent, Peter Yanke of Phirgun Mair Worldwide, this week.

Brings Plenty's father, Joe, expressed gratitude to everyone "for their prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole" in a statement released on Friday.

"I learned this week how many people recognized Cole's goodness and loved him," Joe Brings Plenty Sr. remarked.
