Dolphins sign Jonathan Harris from Broncos.

The Miami Dolphins were active late Thursday night, agreeing to terms with free agency defensive tackle Jonathan Harris on a one-year agreement.

The announcement comes on the same day that the Dolphins signed contracts with defensive tackles Benito Jones and Da'Shawn

Hand, and a day after hosting John Jenkins on a free agent visit. Miami is clearly focused on rebuilding its defensive line, which lost Christian Wilkins and Raekwon Davis to free agency this year.

Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network announced Harris' signing.

Harris was not designated as a restricted free agent by the Denver Broncos this season, allowing him to sign with the Dolphins.

In 2019, the Chicago Bears signed Harris as an undrafted free agent from Lindenwood. He began his debut season on the Chicago practice squad before getting moved to the active roster

When the Bears attempted to dismiss Harris, most likely with the intention of placing him back on the practice squad, the Broncos claimed him off waivers.

He spent the 2020 season on the Broncos' reserve/non-football injury list before spending the most of 2021 and 2022 on the team's practice squad.
