‘Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes’ Eyes $54M-$61M U.S. Opening – Early Look

After Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, apes are hot, and 20th Century Studios' 

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is expected to open at $54 million-$61 million on May 10-12. 

Quorum's newest box office forecast is six weeks ahead of NRG's three weeks. 

Men dominate with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, surpassing Transformers: Rise of the Beasts ($61M) and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One ($54.6M 3-day). 

The Fall Guy, which had its world premiere at SXSW, is 17 points behind the Wes Ball-directed Apes in awareness, 

6 points behind in interest, and 8 points behind in theater preference. It will have a special screening at CinemaCon. 

Apes is one of May's most anticipated films, with Warner Bros/Village Roadshow's Furiosa 26 points behind. 

Furiosa's Cannes Film Festival world premiere will boost its sales, but all three films feature teaser and payoff trailers. The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes trailer had 43.2M views 24 hours after the Super Bowl, second only to Marvel Studios/Disney's Deadpool & Wolverine with 75.4M views, according to RelishMix.
