Lainey Wilson's Reaction to Winning Her First Grammy Is Too Pure

2024 is shaping up to be the year of our favorite country singer, Lainey Wilson. Wilson won Best Country Album at the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday, and her emotion was too beautiful for words.

Wilson's Bell Bottom Country received nominations alongside Kelsea Ballerini for Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, Tyler Childers for Rustin' In the Rain, Zach Bryan for Zach Bryan, and Brothers Osbourne for Brothers Osbourne.

Kacey Musgraves, a country icon and Grammy award winner, had the distinction of presenting this year's Best Country Album.

Lainey accepted her award in an all-black Balmain SS24 collection ensemble, complete with traditional bellbottoms and a cap. Her first Grammy acceptance speech was, unsurprisingly, emotional.

"Y'all, this is just wild. Wilson stated, "This is my first Grammy," before thanking everyone who helped make this album a reality.

"I'm from a rural hamlet in Northeast Louisiana, a small town of 200 people, and I'm a sixth generation farmer's daughter. I also consider myself a farmer.

I believe that everyone I surround myself with is a farmer, but they are story farmers. It's about getting up every day, planting your seeds, watering them, and watching them grow.

When you locate the perfect farming community, you may be able to reap a lifetime crop. "I truly believe that, and I believe that is exactly what is going on tonight," Wilson said.
