'Stranger Things' Alum J.K. Simmons Joins 'Saturday Night Live: 1975' Cast

Legendary comic Milton Berle is portrayed by JK Simmons, who brings his diverse talent to the 1975 SNL ensemble.  

Featuring an ensemble cast of Hollywood heavy hitters, the film chronicles the mayhem and near-misses of Saturday Night Live's landmark debut episode.  

An accurate look at SNL's landmark premiere will take place in real time, according to the script by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan.  

Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has joined the already massive ensemble of SNL 1975, making it one of the most intriguing contenders for the year.   

Deadline reports that the Jason Reitman–directed picture would feature Simmons as the famed comic Milton Berle.   

Simmons is famous for his versatility and has starred in films such as Spider-Man and Whiplash. When the role calls for it, Simmons is recognized for being devastatingly humorous.  

Throughout his 80-year career, American comedian and actor Milton Berle was frequently called "Mr. Television" during the golden age of television.  

Simmons' performance honors his humorous style and timing, which shaped early television comedy.
