The Masters Par 3 Contest was won by Rickie Fowler after five players hit aces.

One more unique tradition to enjoy before Thursday's Masters begins was Wednesday's Par 3 Contest.

The winner of the Par 3 Contest was Rickie Fowler, who shot a 5-under-par 22. Sepp Straka, amateur Santiago de la Fuente, and Fowler were separated by two strokes at the conclusion.

On Wednesday, the traditionally held Par 3 Contest took place at Augusta National's nine-hole par-3 course, which is conveniently located near the championship course.

Members of the golfing family came out in droves to watch the action, with some even taking a swing or two themselves, as they competed in groups of up to three.

On Wednesday, five players not only won hardware for their hole-in-ones, but Fowler also won the Par 3 Contest with a sparkling crystal bowl.

Aces were recorded by Luke List, Gary Woodland, Sepp Straka, Lucas Glover, and Viktor Hovland in that order.

Who says this year can't be the first? No player has ever won both the Par 3 Contest and the green jacket in the same year.

The loblolly pines will provide Fowler with an opportunity to end that run.
