The Starz prequel to ‘Outlander’ casts and begins production.

Starz’s prequel series to “Outlander” has decided who will play the four main roles in the series.   

Additionally, Starz has revealed that production on the ten-episode series, which is officially titled “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” has begun in Scotland. The series will be produced in Scotland.   

Several actors have been cast in the series, including Harriet Slater  

This series will investigate the lives of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (played by Slater) and Brian Fraser (played by Roy), as well as the beginnings of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (played by Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (played by Irvine). According to the official description,   

The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different periods.” Jamie’s parents were in the Scottish Highlands during the early 18th century, and Claire’s parents were in England during World War I.   

According to Matthew B. Roberts, who serves as the showrunner, executive producer, and writer for both “Outlander” and “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” “We are thrilled to be telling the stories of these two couples.   

We are so happy for fans to discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories in the same way that they have fallen in love with Claire and Jamie.    

Slater is represented by Untitled in the United States and The Artists Partnership in the United Kingdom. The Patrick Hambleton Management in London and the Cohesive Entertainment Group in Los Angeles are the agencies that represent Roy
