When is 'Star Trek: Discovery' s final season? Date, cast, where to watch 

Last mission of U.S.S. Discovery. "Star Trek: Discovery" returns for its fifth and final season on Paramount+ this week with much to look forward to.

"The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries," Paramount+ says about the season. 

"But there are others on the hunt as well…dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it." 

The 2017 Star Trek film "Star Trek: Discovery" is the seventh. The series' last season is covered here. 

The last season of "Star Trek: Discovery" premieres on Paramount+ on Thursday, April 4. 

First two episodes will be accessible to stream on the release date, with additional episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays. Paramount+ did not announce the episode release time. 

Season 5 of "Star Trek: Discovery" comprises 10 episodes. The first two will stream on April 4, with the rest scheduled for Thursdays on Paramount+.
