The 2024 NCAA women’s gymnastics season began on January 5th, with the preseason rankings of No. 14 Ohio State and No. 3 LSU competing against each other. It has been reported by ESPN that the months of January and February are filled with a multitude of thrilling events in which top-ranked teams compete for dominance. The fact that LSU faced formidable opponents such as No. 2 Florida on February 23 and No. 9 Kentucky on January 19 is one of the occurrences that stands out as particularly remarkable.
The matchups that took place on January 13th, which included the No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Utah, and No. 5 UCLA teams, are examples of some of the highlights. When looking back to the year 2023, LSU emerged as a significant force in the landscape of the NCAA gymnastics competition. The team won the semifinal with an unbelievable score of 197.475, which allowed them to advance to the semi-final of the championship competition at Dickies Arena.
